The New York Philosophy Club - June 5, 2025

Special Newsletter Edition

Hey Bridge and Borough readers, I want to send a quick email about one of my favorite clubs: The New York Philosophy Club. They only have 2 spots left for a special event in Brooklyn on June 5th. Don’t miss out if you’re interested in Jazz and Philosophy.

Club Spotlight: The New York Philosophy Club

The epicenter of public philosophy in New York City, The New York Philosophy Club hosts the largest regular public philosophy event in NYC. This thriving community brings together curious minds twice monthly for free, accessible philosophical discussions that welcome everyone—no prior knowledge required.

What Makes It Special

Each gathering features small group discussions where participants split into groups of 2-4 people for three rotating 30-minute sessions. Topics are specially curated with thought-provoking questions, and after each half-hour session, there's a social break to meet new people before forming fresh discussion groups.

RSVP through their calendar at lu.ma/philosophy as the club transitions to this platform for registration. Events typically draw 100+ attendees with diverse backgrounds—from students and professors to journalists, bankers, and artists.

What to Expect: Topics range from consciousness and freedom to morality and authenticity. The atmosphere is welcoming, with "any and all people and opinions welcome" as the broader the range of perspectives, the better.
